umm - just hover over buttons of new units - no need for it to handhold and tell you exactly what to do - that would be playing the game for you. I like the way this game did it. All games are a puzzle - part of the puzzle is examining the buttons.

The best thing about this game for me was the audio - the music - and voice clips: it was the first time i had heard 40k characters speak. and it was perfect. also the opening menu music - felt EXACTLY like the oppressive world of 40K. Oppressive, desperate, desolate. Brilliant music Of course the squad mechanic and the weapon updates - differentiate this game form C&CV and starcraft - it was very good.

Yes it was brilliant.

I'm actually replaying the entire BG 1-2, Icewind Dale EE (with expansions) right now. Played a lot in 2000s, then replayed in 2010's when it came out on Android, and now replaying it on Steam Deck with the Steam version. A truly amazing experience that I kind of forgotten with the newer hollow games that's been flooding the market. I also agree that the old style CGI clips were better, more immersive. The new 2d cartoon ones feel cheap and really lazy... P.S. Your bravery is amazing. Running Hard difficulty solo on a fighter\mage\thief with 13 dex and 14 str really takes bawls :) Sure, you can boost stats with potions and items, but it's tedious and limits your potential (for example, you can have Legacy of the Masters instead of Brawling Hands or Hands of Takkok bracers if you have natural 18 dex and str). Also, scrolls, potions and other items help overcome certain mechanics a lot, like make you highly resistant\immune to magic, boost physical defenses. Protection from petrification, a level 1 mage spell, works wonders against basilisks, too. You don't have to cheese everything with snare-sleep-snare and hasted kiting 😅

As a Chaos player, I have to disagree on Chaos sucking (at least from what I can remember). It just required an extremely agressive playstyle. Chaos Lord can 1v1 almost any other commander in the early game game and still have a bit of health at the end of the fight, Chaos Space Marines had access to flamers earlier than any other race which was kind of essential to gaining momentum early. Basically, bunker down and you are dead, but if you harassed the enemy and took initiative, late game units like Possessed space marines were morale breakers and they had nice, teleportable anti armor units in Horrors. However, I might be misremembering or I played against plebs

This video is a 9/10, it's only missing audio from the game. It would have been great to hear the soundtrack with the narration, and hear the aound effects here and there

I ended up farming lives on Allegro Presto. One of the stages could be done quickly, thanks to the sliding, and had enough blue tings that you could rack up several lives in a go-through. I did end up beating the game in my late teens, after many years trying. Worth it. I defintely need to find my GOG copy and go through it again - just watching this video was triggering my muscle memory.

I still have this game. And my PS3 is still alive, so I can play it again if I want to. I was more scared of the timer than the monsters because I was having fun fighting them and slicing them apart to make sure they're dead.

It is a cool game ....but if one has superior at the start you will get wooped so its hard too comeback for the opponent its always a problem in these games...you cant turn the game in the late game like warcraft 3 ...its more like the old AOE (the new one AOE4 is what it should be in the late game in my opinion.)

I just won't ever be able to understand how they dont managhe to just develope dawn of war 2 (i dont consider dow 2 and 3 dawn of war titles). Its the easiest cashgrab there could be. just take the dawn of war 1 formula and adjust graphics as well as size and dont change the other stuff.

fun fact about the tazer, it shows up in days gone (bend studio's most recent game) as an end game sort of secret item. It's not as useful due to the game being focused more on large groups of enemies, but the function is still the same (with limited range, though).

It is entirely a symbolic move. The surgeon general can not over rule the supreme court or the 2nd amendment. It is unfortunate bit It is going to take am amendment to fox this issue
